Summary
You’re rather unremarkable, and what is there to be remarked isn’t anything flattering. Naïve, slow on the uptake, socially inept.
But that was precisely why you intrigued him.

Summary
It wasn’t uncommon for military units around the world to resort to unorthodox, unethical, and immoral lengths to strengthen their numbers, their abilities. Especially in a world where second genders influenced a hefty amount of society’s standards.
Alphas were made to protect, defend, fight.
Betas, to support, to mediate, to be neutral.
Omegas, to submit, to serve, to bend to every whim.Alphas in the military? A must.
Betas? It wasn’t unheard of.
Omegas? Impossible.Sure, the occasional omega was used as a trading piece, a hostage, something to resort for alphas and betas to fight over, to save.
However, it always ended the same.
They were either forcibly bred, mated, and forced to settle down with that pack, or they were torn to shreds and killed before that possibility could even happen.
It was a common procedure. The military wasn’t a safe place. Oftentimes it was unpredictable, unethical, immoral even.
So how did you manage to get to where you are, with no one suspecting a thing from you or your squad?

Summary
Simon Riley had always been a man in control of himself. He'd mastered his mind, his body, and his temper, all to become the perfect killing machine. Analytic, emotionless, efficient. The perfect soldier. Nothing could ever stop him. Nothing could ever tame him. So why the fuck was the new Lieutenant able to make him lose every ounce of control in his body without trying?
Michaela Duarte swore to the heavens that she wouldn't make the same mistake again. She buried herself in her work, shoving her feelings, her past, into a neat little box nestled deep inside her heart, out of reach, so that no one could hurt her ever again. So she could endure. So she could survive. So why the hell was Lieutenant Riley so good at breaching the walls she'd so carefully put up?
