Summary
“Will,” Mike sighed softly, eyes beaming up at him. Will’s heart fluttered. He knew Mike was in a vulnerable state; this wasn’t the time to start getting flustered. Still, he couldn’t help the blush creeping up his neck. It’s not Will’s fault the first word Mike had spoken to him in two years was a gentle whisper of his name.

Max huffed, lifting herself up to sit on the kitchen counter next to where Will was brewing a pot of coffee. “Seriously? We’ve been through this about a dozen times already.”
“I know, I know! It’s just—I don’t know, I’m feeling a little nervous about it.” Will anxiously tapped his fingers on the countertop, staring at the slow drip of the coffee. “I don’t love the idea of lying to Mike–what if he completely freaks out?”
