Sure, he moved to a new city on a whim, but he's an eccentric billionaire - that's allowed!
And sure, he moved from a massive compound, mansion, and tower, to a tiny little one bed apartment that barely has enough room for him - it was cosy!
And sure, he barely sees his friends and does nothing but work - his job right now is important, okay? He's got to fix the accords and bring the Avengers back, for the safety of the planet!
Tony Stark is fine. This is not a mental breakdown.
He's met someone new.
He's learning to cook.
He's losing weight and getting fitter.
This is all he ever wanted.
He's fine. He's happy.

Summary
Alpha Sheriff Steve Rogers doesn’t know what to think of the new school teacher in his small town.
Omega Tony Carbonell is a quick witted, sharp tongued, sarcastic Omega with a butt that won’t quit– and a temper that won’t quit either.
Every attempt the Sheriff makes to get close is met with rolled eyes and snarkiness, but finally Tony gives in a little bit and the pair spends a few moments together that leaves the Alpha panting, desperate for more.
But there’s a layer of secrets beneath the Omega’s attitude, and the more Steve pushes, the more Tony pulls away.
When Tony’s past comes back in a terrifying way, Steve learns more about the Omega than he ever thought he would, secrets that make him rage, stories that break his heart, and when Tony is kidnapped, the Sheriff saddles up to bring his Omega home.
But Tony doesn’t consider Wildrock home, and he certainly doesn’t consider Steve his Alpha.
How can the Stetson wearing Sheriff convince the stubborn Schoolteacher that they are meant to be?

Summary
"Tony’s brain completely skipped the exit where he regretted what he had said, and got thoroughly lost in an intersection of nostalgia for worshiping the high school quarterback and trying not to smile himself. He remembered reading somewhere that even if you knew someone was conditioning you via positive reinforcement you couldn't stop it from working."
Tony is tasked with bringing Captain America up to speed on the 21st Century. At first it seems a simple task but then Steve kisses Tony and runs. After that things get a lot more complicated.

"Physically, I’m fine,” Tony repeats. “But I’m not okay here. Something’s missing. Something… important.”
“But your arc reactor’s there,” Clint points out.
“Tony,” Bruce interjects in a gentle voice. “Can you describe to me what’s missing? Clint is right, your arc reactor is there.”
“I don’t know. I just know something important’s missing, and it hurts. Bruce, how can it hurt when I’ve never had it to begin with?”

Thing is, Tony has so much love to give. But he doesn’t know how to do it right. But he knows that when he meets the right person — or people — he loves wholly, in every sense of the word. Sadly, he's so used to giving people what they want, to acting a certain way because they expect him to, that he’s forgotten what it’s like to be stripped bare of all the defenses he’s put up over the years. He wonders what it'd be like to have his defenses peeled off like an onion, layer by layer, each revealing a part of Anthony Edward Stark no other human being has been privy to.
What would it be like, then? To have people think the best of him instead of the worst? To love and care about him in the same degree he does about them?
