Summary
There was only a brief period, for both of them, when what they looked like reflected who they were born as. Sakura no Oto and Kabuto Hyuuga both have been leading lives filled with lies from a very young age, from when the double agent met Orochimaru's daughter. Both lived as spies in each other's country, hiding their identity, finding family in each other when their own wasn't around.
The weight of their secrets will inevitably drag them down.Theory shared with Kitexa. Canon diverges at Orochimaru's death, because Kishimoto lost his ability to explain his own story right about then.

The whole genin squad bristled with anger, sending murderous glares in that direction.
The injured boy's hand subconsciously flew to his bandaged arm. “Fucking lunatic,” he muttered venomously under his breath.
Kabuto narrowed his eyes. From this distance, he could only see two things: the perpetrator in question was rather scrawny and had hair the color of cotton candy.
In which Sakura was never befriended by Ino and had to face her problems alone instead. With thoughts revolving around revenge on her bullies and a sole companionship of the Inner Sakura, she grew up to be... somewhat peculiar.
One day, her odd behavior and mysterious abilities are noticed by a certain spy, which gives rise to a unique bond that changes the course of history.
