A little bit later, both men were halfway through their third beers and feeling pleasantly buzzed as the song 'Before He Cheats' by Carrie Underwood began playing. Buck really hated that he related so hard to this song now, and the rage burning in his blood made him think he'd like to do exactly that to Tommy's truck. The curly-haired man knew that he shouldn't fantasize about destroying his ex's truck, but oh, did the thought make him want to smile.
He must have looked manic because Eddie raised an eyebrow at him and asked, "Why are you smiling like that, man?"
Buck hummed, "Hmm… Just thinking."
"About what exactly?"
"About how much I'd like to reenact this song on Tommy's truck. It could be the beer and the underlying rage talking, but god, destroying his truck sounds amazing right now." The blue-eyed man groaned.

I mean you haven’t even—““No,” Eddie interrupted, reaching for the handle of the family bathroom automatically. Buck didn’t seem phased, just entering as his friend held the door. “I haven’t…”
Buck made an up and down motion with his hands clasped (still holding the offending boxers, Jesus).
Eddie flushed deeper, grunting, “yeah. That. It hasn’t felt very… deserved after what I did.”
His friend nodded, crossing over to the sink. “I mean, I guess. But you seriously haven’t— I mean it’s… I feel like that’s a medically necessary thing to—“
“Most Catholics are celibate for a majority of their lives.”
“Well, most Catholics probably have frequent wet dreams, then.”

Buck shook his head before falling back onto the sofa, “I don’t know.” He repeated verbatim, like it was the only phrase he knew. He leaned forward grasping at a half empty bottle of beer in front of him before taking another swig.
From the phone-line, almost inaudibly as it slid away with each sip, the brunette asked, “Did you guys break up again?” Again. That aspect made him giggle slightly, like their relationship was meant to be a constant continuation of breakups.
