“What are those people doing, Mother ?” He interrogated, letting her raise the book in her hands to get a better view. His brown eyes followed each of his mother’s movements, his gaze full of curiosity.
“Let’s see… which people, sweetheart ?” She patiently quizzed, watching fondly as his son squirmed on her lap to straighten up in a sitting position and point at the page again. The little finger was directed at an illustration in the book. It was a small drawing of two people waltzing. She chuckled seeing Alberu’s puzzled expression. “They are dancing, my little Sun.”

“Do you happen to have flour ?” The young man before him asked again, passing a hand on his nape in an awkward movement. He was also staring down, looking everywhere but at Beacrox’s eyes. So rude. And shameless - and put this hand away for the love of everything.
“No.” Beacrox sharply responded, slamming the door shut to the man’s face.

Cale sat up, leaning against the headboard of his wide, luxurious bed. He cautiously picked up a carmine petal, making sure not to disturb the three children curled up on his lap. His sole focus remained on the floral leaves spread around the immaculate sheets as he gently gathered them in his hand.
‘Masquerade, huh ?’ Cale thought as his fingers were idly fiddling with a scarlet corolla.

Encompassed between peaks and a dense, green forest, the meadow he was laying in was full of blossoming, northern flowers Choi Han didn't know about. He had never seen half of them, but it was still beautiful. It was probably brands that could only be found in Roan.
Choi Han had made it until dawn. And he had even managed past the mountains. Nevertheless, Choi Han didn’t ignore that this situation was dangerous. Enemies were everywhere around, and it wouldn’t take them long to locate the wreckage and track him down.
But everything felt so peaceful there. So beautiful. So colorful. Too ethereal to be true. The fresh air filling his lungs was too pure as well, its coolness shaking his very core. Too dreamlike-“Ah, you’re awake.”

His eyebrows scrunched as he felt something tickling his nose, alongside a cold wind blowing in his face. It was weird. Kim Rok Soo was supposed to be in the orphanage right now.
When he finally dared to open his eyes, he was surprised with the scenery in front of him. Tall, dark trees were rising from the ground and their thick foliages left no room for the daylight to seep through them.
The last thing he remembers is falling asleep while reading a magical picture book about the adventures of the hero Choi Han
