“I told you to stop touching things,” Feng Xin accuses. Even his breath feels hot as the trace of it finds bare skin above Mu Qing’s collar. “Idiot. It’s all over you—you should’ve seen the cloud that went up in the air.”

Summary
“You like this.” Mu Qing says, barely above a whisper. Feng Xin stutters a bit and pathetically tries to pull away, but Mu Qing uses his legs to keep a strong hold on the other’s throat and squeezes so tight he can hear his breath click.
Mu Qing thinks about Jian Lan, the only other person he knows Feng Xin has had such relations with. How cutting her words could be, how forceful she was.
Mu Qing laughs, soft and airy. He really can’t believe this.
“You dog,” he says, “you like this.”
Feng Xin whimpers.

Summary
Her hair is pulled back, and the robes she wears—while obviously carved to appear a bit more feminine—are the same as he wears, albeit with much lighter armor. She is posed with her head held high and proud, one hand resting upon the hilt of the sword carved at her waist with the other gripping the top of the sheath, as if ready to draw the sword from the scabbard at moment’s notice.
Yet, despite this battle-ready stance, her lips are drawn up at the edges into the faintest smile and her eyes are carved with careful precision and care to stare down.
So, yes, it is an objectively nice statue—lovely, really. Excellently carved.
However, Mu Qing cannot get past one glaring issue.
It is him.
Or
Mu Qing discovers that someone has built a female statue of him, and that form is growing increasingly popular. Somehow, this leads to surprising developments between him and Feng Xin.
