Summary
At some point during season 8 Etho disappeared, leaving behind a man too far gone for his best friend to realise it. Bdubs continues onto season 9 and builds his solitary monolith.
Today Bdubs leaves his home to a wonderful surprise:
There is a fox sleeping on his welcome mat. A very sad-looking white fox.(or Etho got cursed to be a fox, which, in true fairytale magic, is only broken by true love. Leading him to try and get Bdubs to admit his feelings through dreams and a warming new furry form.)
(Bdubs is sad and just wants his best friend back) -

Remus after surviving the loss of all his friends and the war against Voldemort decided that he could not live with the constant reminder of his friends lives and finds a way to block them way (oblivite spell but not really cause the memories are still there kinda)
