“Oh my god!” Ilya gasped. He was staring at his phone, his mouth twitching slightly, then he huffed out a shaky laugh.
“What?” Shane asked curiously as he moved closer to Ilya on the couch.
“Look at this”, Ilya handed him the phone and Shane started reading the Reddit thread.@Hollanov4ever
“Soooo i am convinced Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are more than arch-rivals. Like obviously i don’t mean friends, they are definitely in love, just look at these pictures of them from the all-star game!Or: Ilya finds a Hollanov ship account, and her posts are extremely accurate. He decides to make an account of his own to feed into this girls delusion before they announce their relationship to the world.
However Shane is not thrilled by this, and they have a fight. (They make up i promise)

Knowing Ilya would be home any minute, Shane hastily splashes water on his face, slapping his cheeks lightly, hoping to wash away some of the weariness and bring some color back to his cheeks. He chokes down two ibuprofen, hoping they’ll blunt the pain enough to keep the night from unraveling.
Then, steeling himself, he heads back downstairs, ready to pretend everything’s fine. Because tonight, it has to be.--
Shane gets hurt during a game, but tries to hide it from Ilya in hopes it won't ruin their precious time together.
