Summary
“Hello, darling,” He murmurs, voice thick with sleep.
“Hey, pretty bird,” Blitzø responds, reaching a hand out and running it through his lover's disorderly head-feathers. Most of them spring back up afterward, but he earns himself a sleepy hoot in response to his ministrations, and he smiles. “Didn’t mean to wake ‘ya - you can keep sleeping if you want.”
Stolas hums but slowly sits up, the blanket falling to give way to his slender, naked body. The size of Stolas’ waist only further exaggerates the egg he’s carrying, skinny chest dipping down to a healthy and growing bump in his midsection. When his arms stretch above his body, loud pops echo from his hollow bones. Blitzø wastes no time - he scurries into the arms and lap of his lover. He has less room now, because of the bump, but that’s okay. Arms immediately loop around his middle and pull him flush against a feathered chest, Stolas leaning down and pressing a kiss against the crown of the imp's head.

The silence was back. Blitz wanted to be sick. He wanted to smash every bottle behind the bar, to sweep the table and pull Stolas up and climb on top of him, to shoot every other patron in the face to stop them from watching. The seconds dragged on and he knew this, right here, was him missing his chance. Last call for boarding. All he had to do was say that he was sorry too.
A whistle was blowing, too loud in his ears. The doors were closing.

Summary
As the solstice rolls around again, Stolas has to head to a remote cabin in the woods for a few days to perform his royal duties. Feeling a bit insecure and in dire need of a vacation, he invites his new boyfriend along, wanting only for Blitzo to enjoy a much-deserved rest.
Who could've guessed there'd be a blackout the very first night?
Featuring an anxious and unsure Stolas, with Blitzo finally being his emotional rock.
