“Forgot my stupid fucking-” Taehyun cuts himself off with a gasp, staring down at his wrist. “Oh my god.”
“What, what's wrong?” Kai asks, but Taehyun doesn't bother trying to put together a verbal response because his best friend is already moving to see what he's looking at. Kai lets out an honest to god screech, and if Taehyun weren't slowly but surely losing his sanity, he would have complained.
Kai realizes this, too, reaching out to gently touch his fingers to the spot just below the writing and call Taehyun's attention back to planet earth.
“You okay?” He asks. Taehyun looks up at him, blinking his face back into focus, and shakes his head. Before he can be asked for elaboration, he reaches for his phone and types in the phone number with shaky fingers.

For the first time since Beomgyu had known of the boy, the latter visibly tensed, tearing his gaze away.
“I think you’re the one who doesn’t know of our school rules.” Beomgyu grinned, waving his phone at Kang Taehyun like he was a matador, tempting a charged bull with red. “Should we find out what happens if I show this video of you working to the principal?”
Kang Taehyun regained his composure so quickly, Beomgyu almost second-guessed the prior sight of his fleeting hesitance. His large, piercing eyes were downcast in a disbelieving frown. “You’re lying.”
“What’s this? Is our proper little council president suddenly scared?” Beomgyu smirked, leaning back into his seat and folding his arms smugly.
Or,
Beomgyu and Taehyun have been enemies since day one of high school, and discovering Taehyun’s secret (and definitely impermissible) part-time job may give finally Beomgyu some leverage over him. But Beomgyu inadvertently ends up discovering an entirely different side of Taehyun which is not so bad after all, and possibly even lovable…?

With a flick of his bangs, Beomgyu finally turned around. “Oh, I didn’t see you there,” he said in an obviously forced deep voice. Then back to what sounded normal: “Come in, come in.”
Taehyun barely heard the lines. He was, for a split second, rooted to the floor, like his knees had locked and the connecting bones shot straight into the stones underfoot. Why was Beomgyu so good-looking? His eyes were dark and long-lashed, his cheeks somehow thin but soft around the edges. Being in the same year, he’d heard rumors and perhaps seen him here and there casually. But with just the two of them in that sunny room up in the West Tower, Beomgyu’s gaze met Taehyun’s for the first time.
It was too bad he was clearly a little crazy. It would be best to just do his job and get it over with.
