Anger lets Romeo forget that it absolutely fucking terrifies him sometimes, the barest flicker of recognition in those lightless eyes. Like a semi feral cat who's only decided not to shred your arm to ribbons because you fed it last week.
The day the captain couldn't remember his name, he was gone. He'd run faster than anyone, he was sure. He couldn't trust this Taiga to leave his face intact if he tried to eat him and Romeo was worth more than a closed casket.
But as ever, even if Taiga couldn't remember his own damn name some days,
"Lulu... come here. I feel like shit."
