Joel Beans had never liked symmetry.

Light versus dark!There was a collision, an explosion ringing in both their ears that blew both of the cookies, perhaps ironically, the same way out of the Spire of Deceit Shadow Milk had pushed the meddling children off it.
The connection was severed, the magic reversed, the Realms faded away and the two most powerful Cookies around sent plunging towards the deep ends of the dangerous forests of Beast Yeast.

A small second's difference in reaction causes the feuding Cookies to swap bodies and forces them to work together to undo the strange magics. Still hurt from each other's actions, they bicker, sass and struggle to deal with the forced truce between them.
Pure Vanilla, despite everything, still wants to be friends and Shadow Milk struggles against it like a feral cat getting a much needed bath.
