Summary
When Maude is sent (read: sentenced) to spend her last year of high school with her uncle and cousin in dreary Forks, Washington, she goes without too much of a fight. Hiding behind carefully built walls of nihilism, bravado and film references, to her its just another way to escape the tedium of her usual life. But Forks is a lot more interesting than she imagined, and when she hears of "perfect but unattainable" Edward Cullen, her interest is peaked, and the ball starts rolling.

Summary
High school reunions are only fun if you're the popular one who stayed in touch with everyone after graduation. You were best known for disappearing without a trace after senior year because you had to move for college, leaving your inglorious days behind. Coming back to the town also meant revisiting some forgotten faces and complicated feelings.
