Summary

Shi Qingxuan is trying to find that answer as he adjusts to his life of being mortal and all the dangers that comes with. He Xuan attempts to find that answer in understanding the complexities of feelings that have been allowed to surface now that he's taken his revenge.

Summary
The goal is to let the party rage about while its rancorous host drinks himself into a stupor before slipping off to the man’s office, cracking his safe open, and taking a sizeable donation to the struggling population of New Eridu. A few million dennies would hardly be missed by someone with the kind of wealth to serve fish roe upon literal golden platters. If a pretty jewel or a sentimental item disappears in the process it can only be considered collateral to Hugo’s own personal collection.
Unfortunately no plan of his can ever go simply. There’s always a drawback in one form or another.
In this case the drawback comes in the form of a nearly seven foot tall wolf thiren who finds that he does not appreciate seeing Hugo dance with another man.

Summary
Penance is the only reasonable response to atoning for the sins that Sunday has committed. There is debt of regret that he owes the gambler that is built by guilt and shame. A debt he desperately wishes to repay so that they both can move on - even if it leaves Sunday haunted by honeyed smiles and dual-toned eyes. It's a shame that Aventurine never returned to him in order to allow him to seek this repentance. It's a shame that Sunday has no choice but to seek him out on his own.

Summary
Playing with emotions is easy when you're used to doing so. Manipulation is a free flowing device that the Gambler has been using to conceal his schemes and advance his personal agendas for as long as he has drawn breath. He can guide the conversation away from topics he doesn't wish to discuss with ease and hide his anxiety beneath a wide grin and a bright eyed stare. Summary
It bothered him - bothers him. It is both fair and unfair that others who have spoken poorly to Aventurine can be allowed to keep that closeness, who can be allowed to care, when he is not even allowed a dialogue to repent.
It’s a fact that plagues his mind more often than he likes to admit. It’s alarming how often Aventurine dances around his mind as a specter that is almost as potent as his regrets and thoughts of his own Sister. If Robin is the underlying beat of his thoughts in a constant adagio then Aventurine is the rumbling bassline that moves just a bit too fast against it as it flickers between the melody and the chorus.

Summary
Kaveh prides himself on being a loyal individual. He's loyal to his career as an architect, even if his debts make him wonder why he bothers with the low cuts he earns from his commissions. He's loyal to his friends, always willing to show up when they need him. He's even loyal to his no good, down right awful, boyfriend. Well, ex-boyfriend. A bad breakup, news of cheating, and a night of drinking leads to revenge being served.
Too bad he didn't realize that his one-night stand was about to be his boss for the foreseeable future. Surely this won't come back to bite him later, right?

“You don’t have to be nervous.”
“I’m not!” He says as he rights himself, flopping down onto the couch with a petulant huff and turns his attention back to the silver haired man – tracking his movements as he comes to stand in front of Kaveh. His presence is looming and overwhelming, the scent of aged leather and decaying paper hitting him in the face as if he had just thrown open the doors to an ancient library. Intoxicating would be a good word for it, his body instinctively shifting forwards to draw himself closer into this man’s gravitational pull.
A hand tucks under Kaveh’s chin, nudging it upwards as a thumb soothes along his jaw. “Could have fooled me, Kaveh.” His lips curl up slightly as he holds him there, his grip tightening ever so slightly. “It’s alright, it’s natural to be a bit nervous. Especially if this is your first time doing something like this. Are you familiar with the color system?”

Summary
Once upon a time Fae and Mortal lived in some manner of coexistence with Archfey offering a kind protection of the mortals of their court. Of course all good things come to an end, and a grab for power sent hungering, beastly, Unseelie free from their cages as they ravaged the land and sent the remaining human populace fleeing for the last bastion of safety along the northern peninsula of their world.
Now, a thousand years later, fae are not much more than a scary fairy tale meant to keep people out of the woods at night and from whistling in the dark. Kaveh, a simple painter begging for a break away from a life of squalor and guesswork on when his next meal would be, unfortunately has long since known that Fae are not just fairy tales. They live on in his nightmares, and haunt him in the dark corners of his home -- and now, now it seemed they had a cruel way of playing tricks on him as he finds himself all but locked in the home of some Archfey lord that seeks to punish him for "trespassing" into unmarked land.
What a pain in the ass.

Words fumble from Kaveh’s lips, stammering together to form a sentence of filler words and unnecessary hesitation. AlHaitham unburies his face from golden strands, eyes peeking open enough to meet with the flustered features of the other, reassuringly rubbing fingers into his side to not dissuade Kaveh off of his idea.
“Eloquent, try again.”

Summary
In his defense, AlHaitham tried to go home and leave Kaveh to his own devices. He had no desire to spend the odd hours of the evening wandering the House of Daena in search of some book that Kaveh swears he remembers from the early years he spent in the Akademiya.
Unfortunately his home did not have something that was necessary for him to end his evening.

Summary
Ten years ago Kaveh would have bought into the idea that opposites attract. Logically there is merit to it, when a negative charge end of a magnet interacts with a positive charged end of another magnet they stick together. But the authors must have never met their true opposite — their shadow self, the negative charge that meets their positive.
Kaveh has.
And in the purest of sense, when discussing the topic of magnets, yes opposites attract. However, in people?
Opposites only lead to opposition.
