“Are you calling my dust faulty?” She scoffs, plucking the flower out of the ground and twirling it teasingly beneath her chin. “How presumptuous.”

The mainlanders say the island is strange.
They say that no one lives there anymore, but still, the ferries come and go, day in, day out, empty as ever. They say a Priest murdered a man there once, and the fishing boats are run by ghost crews. There's even a rumor that anyone that steps foot on the island will not return, or if they do, they’ll have been replaced.
Hunter knows these stories to be mere fiction—the truth is more terrifying than that.
