The familiar face I hadn't seen in the flesh for over three years cut me like thousand glass shards. All those nights I had imagined seeing him again, reenacted the scene over and over again in my head, I had never thought of the painful shattering of my heart, all of my scars ripping up.
Everything I had built to this day for the past four years came crushing down on me, the bulletproof wall I had built brick by brick.
He hadn't changed at all, if anything he had gotten even more handsome, much more mysterious than I remembered him to be. Even though the cap he had on were pushing his dark hair back, I could still see the extreme contrast of it against his pale skin.
His eyes.
His cat shaped eyes.
They were gazing me, leaving a million questions unanswered. All those moments we had shared together, they were a painful memory lingering in my throat, shadowing in my eyes.
Those moments I had cherished, valued more than anything and anyone in my life, they were just that.
