Summary
Jace goes to the Shadowhunter Academy with Clary to give a lecture to the Nephilim and mundane teenagers about parabatais. The lesson soon becomes a discussion about Alec, because after the Dark War the Clave started to see enemies among their own race everywhere and most Shadowhunters despised Alec for being different. Lies had come to the children's ears, making Jace's blood boil and respond violently.
As Clary can't understand her boyfriend's odd behaviour, she takes Jace to Alec. After several days apart, maybe the parabatai pair need some time together.Bookmarked by Spiralinnn

Summary
"Can I play?" He's far away enough that he almost has to yell a little bit. He's got one leg steadying him on the ground, and he's holding the handles of his bike as tightly as he can. He doesn't want to fall off in front of the older kids - the cooler kids.
"We've got four of us, though, and we don't want uneven teams," Zayn lies apologetically, and Louis frowns. He's not stupid. They don't want to play with him. "Maybe tomorrow." That's also a lie, because Zayn said the same thing yesterday and now it's tomorrow and Louis is being told no, again. His head is spinning with rejection and confusion and, most of all, disappointment.
(Or, Louis is two years younger than his neighbors, Harry, Liam, Niall, and Zayn, and he grows up bending over backwards to get their attention and acceptance. Especially Harry's.)

But even with what seems to be a constant tremor shaking his body, brown hair plastered to his forehead, and a blue tinge to his skin, he’s still probably the most gorgeous person that Harry has ever seen.

But it doesn’t give him time to figure out who he is supposed to be once he takes off his uniform and puts the shield to the side. Just being Harry had always involved Louis, and Harry fears he doesn’t know how to exist without him.
