Summary
Okay, this is ridiculously self-indulgent. Inspired by YahtzeeBitch's story "It's Not Like That", it's another Jack/Vet tech story. I'm a 10 year veteran as a veterinary nurse. It's mostly going to be fluff with a little angst and hurt/comfort because that's my jam. Also exploring the Jack/Robby bromance. I am mesmerized by Jack Abbot. I love all the reader/Jack stories but so many of them are younger reader, or age difference post. I need something that recognizes the GenX longing for the incredible Jack Abbot. This is my first fanfic so please be gentle. I'm being brave and trying my best. Rating may change.

Summary
You spend the entire day at your friend’s wedding looking polished, put together, and impossibly beautiful. Jack spends the entire day trying not to think about getting you out of your dress. But back at the hotel, when the dress finally comes off, so do all the less glamorous parts too: the shapewear, the strapless bra, the boob tape, the pins holding your hair in place. You’re a little worried Jack might see the reality underneath all that effort and find it less appealing. Jack, meanwhile, is mostly horrified that looking that good apparently required you to spend eight hours being squeezed, taped, pinned, and mildly tortured. And then he makes very sure you know exactly how he feels about what’s left underneath.

Summary
You’ve been dating Jack long enough that spending the night should probably be the next easy step. The problem is, sleeping over means letting him see the version of you without the makeup, styled hair, cute clothes, or carefully put-together exterior, and you’re terrified that once he does, he won’t look at you the same. Jack, meanwhile, has no interest in rushing you into intimacy you aren’t ready for. He just can’t shake the feeling that something else is keeping you from staying.
