Summary
Losing a body part permanently was really hard to do, was the issue. Doc had lost his in a fight with a god, and Iskall had lost their eye away from Hermitcraft, but nobody else had body modifications last more than a season unless they really put in the effort. A server with infinite respawn would do everything possible to return a player to the healthiest state they’d been in, so a severed limb would come back on respawn, even if the wound had partially healed. Worse yet, taking regen or healing potions for a disfiguring wound would make your body try to grow the limb back.
So Grian couldn’t take potions, and he couldn’t let himself die. And he had to cut off his wings, even though he loved flying as much as he loved building, because they weren’t really his, and they were a problem. They were the source of most of his problems.
He still wasn’t sure if they’d made the moon crash into the server back in Season 8.

Summary
Grief is a funny thing. The heavy, tangled up knot that you don't remember swallowing. Something dark and bitter that climbs back up your throat every so often just to remind you that it's there. Some people got good at biting it back. Some people got to wash it down with lemonade and laughter and friends to fall back on. Some even learned how to let it come. To let the knot past their lips and untie it. Some people were only passing companions with grief, but others were worse.
Quackity and Charlie were worse.
Over a year since his daughter died and Quackity was regretting his career choices. All the bitterness he brought with him to school now. All the misdirected anger towards parents; mornings drowning the smell of alcohol in gum and cologne. He was a sorry sight, as was Charlie. Charlie, who was living in Quackity's basement because he couldn't face his husband (or himself). Charlie, who hadn't managed a job since paying for their kids' funerals. Charlie, who was probably going to kill himself one of these days if they weren't careful. So, yeah. Some people were worse.
Enter a new school year, hot parents, and a very determined husband trying to teach these two that grief doesn't have to be forever.

Summary
There is something so oddly oxymoronic about the phrase dead tired.
Perhaps it would be simpler to call it a paradox. A paradox refers to a contradiction in a logical sentence or phrase. Dead tired. One cannot be tired if they are dead.
Cellbit is dead tired, yet his heart pounds in his ears as his eyes fly open with the terrified memory of something ripped from his throat. Is it an oxymoron or a paradox?

Summary
"What do you say, Daisy. You and me head down in the tunnels, hunter and hunted, and just have at. You catch me, you kill me like every other monster you've put down."
"You catch me..."
"I catch you, I rip the fear out of you like Jared ripped the bones out of me, until you're completely empty."
Post MAG146- Jon's eating habits are being monitored. It doesn't go well.
With every statement he takes in, he loses a little more of his humanity, until there's not much left at all.

Summary
Scar's not a bad guy, not really.
The heroes seemed to disagree, and Grian in particular is rather adamant about putting a stop to him and his crew's heists; Which would be troubling for Scar if Grian wasn't just so fun to fight. The pesky bird did keep getting in the way of his villainous schemes, though.
Scar's not a villain, though. Just a friendly civilian with a criminal track record that also happens to have superhuman powers, wanting to befriend the city's favorite avian hero. Too bad Grian can't see just how much the city needs what he's doing.

Summary
"My assistant," announced Scar Goodtimes, newly-promoted Head Archivist of the Peacock's-Eye Institute, to nobody in particular except maybe the paused audio recording software on his laptop, or perhaps the small pile of tape recorders his predecessor'd left piled on a shelf in the corner, or arguably the little peacock-feather eye logo that dotted the office as haphazardly as it did the entire Institute, "is weird."
(In which Scar is Grian's Archivist, and Grian is Scar's assistant.)

[GRIAN]
Alright, let’s see, what’s next- oh.Huh.
I… completely forgot that this would still be here. Nearly forgot I gave one at all, to be honest. That was- what, six years ago now? Honestly, it’s probably not even worth recording. But-
Oh, may as well. Statement of me, Grian, regarding… something that never happened.
I hope.
Original interview transcribed… May 8th, 2016- yeah, six years, wow. Well. Statement begins.
