The object itself poses no issue. Round, shiny, entirely harmless. He shifts the item around his ringed fingers, examining the blurry, muddled reflection that shines back at him through the sphere. The issue isn't the object itself. It’s the color.
Light blue, the same color as the sky outside in the real world. Slowly, he turns his head towards where Nam-gyu stands in the crowd, his own plastic ball held tightly in his grasp. Blood red instead of blue — they’ve been placed on opposing teams.

Summary
Thanos wouldn't exactly classify himself as a good person. There are a few too many people he's screwed over a few too many times for the words to leave his mouth confidently. That being said, there is a select group of people that he can say with 50% confidence—on a really good day— that he would not throw in front of a moving vehicle for a vape charger if he were drunk.
But hey, that's what they're getting themselves into when they decide to be part of the Thanos World. And it's not like they aren't using him, too. For drugs, exclusivity, sex, whatever, it's all transactional at the end of the day, and he doesn't play with that messy relationship shit anyway, so it's all good with him.
That being said, he sort of is in the middle of that messy relationship shit all because he got himself a fucking fanboy.

How Thanos realizes that he's not good, but he's not all bad.

Summary
As a child, I've had this favorite show called "Sliders" where a group of friends travel through alternate universes and see how little things can change the whole world. Since I love creating different settings for the PJatO-world, I figured I'd let the crew of the Argo II travel through parallel worlds.
Chaos, Mother of All, has had enough of watching the younglings (Giants, Titans, Gods) quarrel and fight and destroy her world, so she decides to intervene. To do so, she first wants the demigods to prove themselves. And for that, she sends the Argo II through different parallel worlds, giving each one of the Seven a chance to prove themselves.
They face a world where the Titans won the war and everything lays in ashes, or a world where the four children of the underworld had met during the thirties and won not just WWII, a world where Leo and Percy grew up as brothers...
Aside from fighting, they also have to consider how the different worlds changed the dynamics between the demigods - friendships, relationships, even family.
