Sasuke leans his head against the backrest and looks at the ceiling, turning his head to watch with mild interest when Itachi emerges from the hallway, still wiping his hands on a dishtowel. He looks good today, his turtleneck sweater snugged up around a long, graceful neck. He wraps his arms around Shisui and greets him with a kiss, and Sasuke turns his eyes back toward the ceiling, determined not to look.

By painful memories and the way Sasuke’s face resembles their mother’s.
It’s not until he meets a strange lute singer one day, tangling their lives together with a single glance, that he discovers what it means to be truly haunted. A man whose easygoing charm contrasts with the way secrets seem to swim in his depthless eyes.
If he’s not cautious, Itachi knows he’ll be devoured by such eyes.
