Summary
Sometimes, even for a person mired in deep cowardice and selfishness, all it takes is one small moment of awareness and compassion for a friend at the right moment to start the ball of change moving.
For Bear, that moment comes when he is faced with the truth that Nikki is not in her right mind. He can either keep putting his head in the sand and believe in a fantasy, or finally find his courage and remember that Nikki is not only his lover, she is also his best friend.

It's been over 5 years since I last wrote anything and my first Obsession fanfic.
He pondered the exact words to use then opened his mouth. “I am sick of being afraid all the time. I wish for my insecurity to vanish, go away.” He snapped the stick and hoped the wish was not just bullshit.
A fix-it fic where Bear makes a different wish and nothing bad happens. Everyone is happy and no one dies yay.

Summary
Bear made a wish out of desperation, for Nikki to love him more than anyone in the entire world. It came true. But the woman who loves him now isn't the friend he knows, she's something born from magic, wearing Nikki's face, desperate and devoted and utterly incapable of being human.
What if Bear didn't run from the consequences of his wish? What if, instead of pretending everything was fine, he faced what he'd created and tried to make it right? This is a psychological exploration of the original film's premise, focusing on the ethical dilemma of loving someone who cannot consent, the erosion of self, and the question of whether a person can learn to be human when they were never meant to be.
For fans of uncomfortable moral dilemmas and characters who are trying, desperately, to be better.
*New Fic* Only one chapter so far, but I'll try to get more published soon! If nothing else, should work ok as a one-shot.

Summary
I found Obsession to be very good. After watching some interviews with the cast, someone asked if, given a second chance, Bear would have made the same wish (or some variation of it). Michael Johnston said yes. I remain unsure, so I would like to explore that in this fic on the premise that Bear gets a second chance and becomes a decent human being with a sense of accountability, and I hope with guilt for what happened. I also want all the other characters to be happy, except Bear, who has to earn it.

Summary
Bear had died.
Then he is sent back to the moment before everything went wrong.
Now burdened with memories no one else shares , he has another chance to save his friends , survive the future he already lived through, and somehow continue pretending everything is supposedly normal while the people around him unknowingly begin confronting feelings that were always there while he himself searches for answers.

"I wish…," Nikki hesitates, a small part of her screaming that this is a bad idea.
She had read enough stories, watched enough horror movies about the problems that can come from hastily made wishes, however she pushes it away and finishes, "I wish Baron Bailey would be brave enough to show me how he really feels about me."
A clench of her forearms, hands tightening around the branch before it snaps in half.

Starts at the car scene but goes off the rails pretty quickly, and in Nikki's pov no less!This is going to be quite different from the movie.
In the movie, that OWW was originally meant for Nikki and Bear used it for himself in a moment of selfishness and despair.
But what if...
What if he did give the branch to her before she walked away, and she in turn made a wish of her own?
How would things change? How would that stay the same?
Influenced by my own insane thoughts, and the speech Bear did at the beginning of the movie to the waitress.
