There’s something in his voice he can’t quite place.
Bakugou turns, high off of victory and pride. They did it! There’s blood that doesn’t belong to him on his face and hands but he doesn’t care.
“Eijirou!” he laughs, relief seeping into his bones. “It’s over!”
Yes, it was over. Everything was, that is.
But in this second, in this brief, beautiful moment, where time stopped and adrenaline flushed through his veins, Katsuki didn’t know it yet. Didn’t really know it yet.
But even so, this was only a moment and it was already over.
