There was almost a script to their post-mission debriefs. Superman would go in on him, Kon would nod. Yes Sir, no Sir, whatever you say Sir, because Superman was Superman and Kon was a clone. Who was he to question Superman? Even when Kon witnessed Superman’s post-mission debriefs with the Justice League, with Jon, even with Nightwing, and they were nowhere near as harsh and unrelenting as his own debriefs with Superman, did Kon dare to call him out on it. But this had been building, the jealousy and the burning hot rage. Maybe it was the comparison to Jon, maybe it had just been a matter of time.
Kon looked up at Superman, jutting his chin out defiantly.
“Fuck you.”
