Eugene always wondered if miracles even existed anymore. She always doubted Wendy when she insisted that music was a form of hidden strength (She didn't want to doubt, though. Not Wendy. Never Wendy). And yet the Ratian continued to dream. Of magic. Of the Pied Piper. Of a world she assumed was unattainable. A fantasy.
