Eveline opened her eyes. "They're mine now."
"What?"
There was a crack of thunder as she reached out with her mind and…. Nothing happened? Suddenly a searing pain tore through her head and she gasped, her face contorting with pain.
"Shhhhhh, lie still." The woman reached out a hand and stroked her hair. "I think you hit your head."
That must be it. Oh, no. What was she going to do now? She clutched her forehead as the pain started to die down. "I don't… remember…"
"That's ok, darlin’. Remember later. For now let's get cleaned up, okay?"
"Okay."

Hey everyone if this looks interesting to you at all please please go read it I am not joking when I say it is my favorite resident evil 7 fanfic, at least to this point in time, (though I significantly doubt anything will surpass it,) everyone is characterized so wonderfully, all the relationships between the characters are spectacular, and tbh it's quite an inspiration for my own fics, (mold hell in general, Jack and Marguerite, and just Jack himself in Canary In A Coalmine, to my memory)
The series they made absolutely rocks too, just go read it, please. (I mean, do heed the content warnings of course, but if you're alright with that stuff then I beg of thee please read my favorite Jack Baker fic he's so perfect in this just addjksshvvk ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️)
