Summary
AU ignores most of Jedi Apprentice. Obi-Wan is bound to Qui-Gon by the Force in such a way that breaking that bond will kill Obi-Wan. This fact is not known until Qui-Gon attempts to claim another as his padawan, and almost kills Obi-Wan in the process. Additionally, the Jedi are celibate, except for Qui-gon, who has had an unknown guest in his "private meditations" for almost twelve years.
