“I’m Luke, and this is Ben. I named him after my nephew who’s already a bit too old to teach with me. Just never tell him I named a baby doll after him because he’ll be furious.”
The mothers giggle at the story, and those in the front row lean closer. Luke flashes them a flirty smile, and Din frowns, then pinches his own wrist to make himself stop. Why on Earth is he acting possessive over a random yoga teacher he just met? To be exact, they did not even meet in person, goddammit.
Luke goes on to describe what they are going to do in the class, and Grogu chooses that moment to break into a loud wail that fills the whole studio and drowns Luke’s voice.
“Hush, listen to the teacher”, Din tries, with no effect. Before he can pick the baby up and flee, though, Luke is already by his side, kneeling down, gently patting Grogu’s shoulder.
“Hello there, little one! Did you get too excited? It’s ok. Papa just brought you to yoga. We’ll have some fun very soon. Yes, fun. You’re a good little yogi.”
Miraculously, Luke makes Grogu calm down and only look up in curiosity. Luke meets Din’s gaze and winks an eye conspiratorially. It makes Din’s insides flutter way more than they should.
