Coming out of the hospital, feeling like a twat, I guess I just realized that my two weeks with Mister X, was just an aberration. It was a freak error made by the gods or whoever plots out the destinies of people like me. And when I stepped back into my flat that night, I saw that apart from the new lampshade, nothing had really changed. Everything was as before – just as it should be. Angels falling out of the sky into the laps of nobodies like me - that isn’t supposed to happen.
