    Summary

    “Hot Rod? I’m Hot Rod?”
TT smiles down at me again. “How’s that feel?”
A vibratey buzzing feeling bubbles up inside me, and I vibrate. “It’s awesome! That’s my name! I’m Hot Rod!”
She laughs, ruffling at my helm. “Sure are. You’re a regular Hot Rodding Roddy.”
    “I’m a Hot Rodding Roddy~”

Hot Rod wakes up for the first time, and the world is a strange an interesting place, full of wonders, and big bots who laugh a lot at you for no particular reason.

His first executive decision as a walking, talking being is to create a family by recruiting his siblings and adopting a nice, big bot.

    Summary

(Armada/Unicron trilogy continuity soup. Based in Armada (and Energon) characters but with cherry-picking of practically everything else and then some)

Five years after his life ended, forgotten and left to the mercies of the Decepticons in a prison camp, Hot Shot continues to exist in a living hell. A grey hell populated by the dead and the dying, their sparks still pulsing in their chambers, but their hopes extinguished.

Here, at the end of everything.

And it's here, after five long years, that he finds what he didn't expect. Something new. Something he thought he'd lost.

A spark, a flicker, just a fragile glimmer so easily crushed underfoot....

And he finds that maybe, just maybe, this isn't the end.

    Summary

"I thought I told you to snuff out the smaller one."
The little golden sparkling shivered on the rough ground, cold lights gazing down from a tall being that crackled of hard stone and barren metal without hues or colour, like the polished walls.
"We... we didn't want to risk that it might have an adverse affect on the other half, sir."
A soft hiss made his being tremble. "I'm sure."
"The other would react if any move was made towards its twin.... It refused to... to subsume the little one."
There was another presence nearby, one that echoed his and always had. Deep blue lights that chirped at him — a sunbeam of curiosity oblivious to the chill, dark tendrils looming above them. He lay there limp, a deep red/crimson and black/white, little points on his head twitching.
The golden one reached a black hand forward — reaching out to that small, oblivious sense.
"Well, it's forged now. There's no risk to this one. I suppose it's large enough not to make a difference if this fragment isn't absorbed."

Not every forging is a happy beginning. There are some things that shouldn't happen, but do.

    Summary

    “...Nice view.”
A low grunt rumbled in his engine as he took the next piece he’d already cleaned out and checked, glancing up.
The view stretched out in front of them, Iacon glittering in the light, the sun wavering on the horizon in a heat haze and turning the sky shades of bright orange, red, and greenish-purplish-lavender-blue. It was like a painting. Under his plating, the squirming burn in his lines died down a little as his hand absently brushed his chestplating, a quiet cycle sighing from his vents.
    Sunny could’ve described it better.

    Summary

“A skitter. I saw one once. Above.” His voice wound through the tubes and equipment softly, the mechimal skittering away and back again to press its paws against the window once more.

“So it is. Do you know why it’s here?” The voice of the larger mech hummed as they stepped up to a pod nestled in the middle of the room by the tubes.

He hummed, taking one step closer and watching the skitter run in circles before pressing against the glass again, multiple optics blinking at him curiously. “For the tests?”

“Yes indeed, for the tests.” He could hear the smile in the voice as things clinked softly, and he watched hands pull at pieces of the pod, setting glints of sharp things and arranging panels. “If you’re good, we’ll let you pet it afterwards.”

He looked up into the amber optics, their facets shifting through tinting colours as they smiled, like oil. “I would like that.”

    ***

A sparkling lives in the darkness, far away from the light in which he was forged.
No name, no community — he is a spark chosen by those more powerful than him as a test subject for unspeakable experiments that go wrong more often than they go right.

Maybe he will be the one success story.

A retelling of the tale of Wing and Drift.

But add some magic, the undead, an actual prison, a nice Star Saber (*cough cough* IDW *cough*), blankets, and a seemingly never ending supply of books.

    Summary

You know when you're trying to figure out character voice by just having random conversations between characters? That's basically what this is, except they kind of ran with it and I just followed along behind with the word broom.
So basically, Broadside, Hot Rod, and Slinger chat. In an internet chat thing. And that's about it.

(Technically not canon to Tar, but also kind of canon in a sort of "this is like early days figuring stuff out" kinda way. Did I bother with the description or anything at all? No. No I didn't)

    Summary

"I'M GOING HOME NOW! AAAAAAAA!" He bellowed at the top of his lungs again as they careered down the street at top speed.

Then a strange shaking filled the air, a massive head breaking out of the ground.

"A THRESHER-MAW!" He yelled. No use lowering the volume now.

He turned his head slightly to the side and jerked in his seat as he saw a familiar black-haired figure in the passenger seat. "FRANK! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING THERE!?" He yelled.

"I'M HANGING ON HERE!" Frank yelled.
