hanguang-jun: Yeah but that is my cute students and I was talking about me, punk teenager who was sure he’d figured out two languages well enough to translate a linguistics master and explain concepts that people have been refining for thousands of years. We are not the same.

Summary
On his way to the woods, numerous passersby warn him again of their potential dangers, and especially of that monster whose howl can chill even the broadest man.
They saw it, they say. Its red eyes gleaming even in the dark; its white and sharp teeth showing while its growl makes the earth shake. And there is more.
Those woods seem to hide the ghosts of Wen soldiers. Lights can be seen sometimes, and laughter heard. A child might have been spotted running to never return again.
Lan Wangji enters the forbidden area anyway. Its foliage shields the sun, making it seem like it’s already late in the day. Lan Wangji’s stride doesn’t falter in any case. He’s not known to ever be in a hurry. So he progresses evenly, dead leaves cracking under his feet.
Or: After the Sunshot Campaign, rumors of a monster living in the forest of Yiling spread. Hanguang-jun is known to be wherever the chaos is.

Summary
One of the fragments of Wei Wuxian's soul, splintered during the first siege of the Burial Mounds, uses the energy released by the Yin Tiger Tally and flees backwards through time to another moment where Wei Wuxian was close to death – after the fall of Lotus Pier, at the hands of Jiang Wanyin.
Knowing how his first life will end, Wei Wuxian decides to hide his survival, and leave the cultivation world behind.
(UPDATED to add a bonus chapter from LQR's point of view as he learns that he will be gaining WWX as a nephew-in-law. And the Lan sect gets an accessibility revolution!)

It does work for Lan Wangji. The whole ordeal earns him a few things: a bite on the index finger of his left hand, a cancelled appointment to get his rabbit spayed, and the knowledge that Bichen, about a fortnight after the neighbour's rabbit dug himself into her enclosure, is indeed pregnant.

Summary
With Wen Ruohan is interested in Wei Wuxian due to his talent with talismans, Gusu Lan and Yunmeng Jiang agree to an arranged marriage between Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian to prevent Qishan Wen from growing more powerful (while there is still a threat of war looming). Things get off to the usual rocky start, with Lan Wangji and much of Gusu Lan (except for the younger Lans) looking down on Wei Wuxian.
This disapproval eventually leads to a situation where Wei Wuxian is framed for a crime by Su Mishan and friends and is punished by the discipline whip and seclusion in the Cold Pond Cave. A cave that holds more than one secret that will impact Cloud Recesses and the Jianghu's future.

Lan Wangji walks into the underworld to get Wei Wuxian. It takes him 13 years to prepare, and then he has 3 days to make it there and back. Although he doesn’t ask for help, help comes to him from unexpected quarters.

Deprived of their heat and rut supplements, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji gave in to their omega and alpha natures while trapped in the Dusk-Creek Mountain cave. Wei Wuxian left the cave with an ancient sword reeking of resentful energy and a half-Lan child, a child he was determined to both keep and hide from Lan Wangji, who didn't seem to care about what had happened between them.
That was okay, though, because he had Jiang Yanli's support and a plan.
