Summary
Sansa Stark is Queen in the North.
The whispers dub her the Savage Queen, despite her attempts to rule with her heart. Many years into her reign, one of Sansa's Lords stages a rebellion that brings a small army to her walls. Before Winterfell can react, the camp outside builds a trebuchet tower that threatens the existence of Winterfell itself if Sansa doesn't bow to their demands. Within days, she's running out of time, help and options. In her darkest hour, she uses a long-forgotten tincture to commune with what she assumes are the Old Gods and instead treats with a long dead man whom she'd accepted as her one chance at love.

But what about the threat of the drug epidemic called "winter"? What about certain people disappearing without a trace?
Can our two heros find love and solve more than one mystery?
If you are in the mood for a fic that is all about people finding love after having suffered horribly at the hands of others, a strong Sandor and Arya friendship, Sansa and Dany working together in a grand finale, Jaime and Brienne happy and in love, a plot with unexpected twists that actually makes sense (or so commenters said the last time around) and lots and lots of SanSan... this fic is for you, too.

Pretend that Detective Inspector Sandor Clegane, her dependable (if angry and foul-mouthed) lemon-cake providing work colleague is her boyfriend. Simple, right? Apart from the obvious; Sandor's been in love with her for a year, in like with her for longer, and knows that this might really really hurt. But, bloody hell, it's only a wedding, right?
It's all fluffy, and a bit angsty, and a lot sweary, and a whole load of gay marriage-y. And kilt-y. Of course.
