Summary
Naph thrusts the Piltie newspaper in his face. Plastered on the front page is a photo of Jayce, unsurprisingly, but upon further inspection, Viktor notices a smaller figure pressed against his side. A young girl stands next to his best friend turned nemesis. The last time Viktor checked, Jayce hated children, but here in the photo, the man looked completely at ease, an easy smile spread across his handsome face.
There’s only one good explanation for all of this: the little girl is Jayce’s kid.
Or, Viktor thinks Jayce has a kid. What’s the best course of action? Getting drunk and breaking into his lab, of course. Features exasperated children, dysfunctional adults, and a wall filled with photos of a certain Man of Progress.

Summary
“Testing my patience already. How Piltovian.” Viktor hisses. He doesn’t seem mad, though, even if Jayce is not the best at reading people and this man is not exactly an open book. He’s just playing. Brain fight. Jayce is smirking before he can help himself.
“Let’s put aside our differences” Jayce grins, mocking the tone of Progress Day’s speeches, and opening his arms in surrender, “And bond over hating this trashy party.” Viktor’s mouth does something close to a smile, and for Jayce it’s enough.
Viktor then suddenly puts his glass down and extends his now free hand, which Jayce gladly takes. His hand is sharp like the rest of him, and quite cold. Yet Jayce really, really doesn’t want the handshake to end.------
From Jayce's LoL lore: "The two met at a mandatory Progress Day party, and immediately bonded over how little either of them wanted to be there."

The first thing he noticed was the smell of sulfur and rot, gas leaks tinted with mercaptan, air dense, thick and hard to digest, worsening his nausea.
The second thing he noticed was the floor he was sprawled onto, cobblestone filled with holes that gathered puddles, the stone was slimy under his fingers, and his attire was stained by mud—over other things.
The third thing he noticed was a crushing hand to his neck and a punishing choke to his wind pipe.
