A star has faded from the night sky, a light burnt out centuries ago, now reawakened upon the Inpherno. A Sun God, untrusting and cruel to the mortals that have stole from him one too many times, love fading from his heart. Maybe, just maybe, the new star can rekindle what the Sun has lost.
(My take on this whole Pirate/Ocean AU, mostly focused on just the Pirates and this silly God)

Ban Hammer’s shoulders shake in a silent laugh, releasing one arm from the embrace to instead bring it upward to run his claws across Subspace’s cheek — careful of one of the deeper wounds festering nearby. “Dat’s a complicated way t’ say we’re cuddlin’.”

John Grace has been running for as long as they could remember. This was all worth it, for one day they could prove themselves to be worthy, to be clean of their sins.
Expendable has been departing that godforsaken submarine for, not exactly as long as he could remember. This was not worth it in the slightest, but there was nothing to do about it but roam the Hadal Blacksite’s halls day after day after day after day.
Guest has been in that hotel for as long as she could remember. Was this worth anything at all? She didn’t know, but she was beginning to doubt it after every death and loop.
Perhaps it is better this way after all.
