Oscar confronts Ironwood in the vault, except somehow what happens is worse.
Bad AU where Ironwood's paranoia/anger at Ozpin is cranked up to 11, mixed with some previously established relationship!Ozpin/James with a dash of once again Oscar getting caught in the crossfire of Oz's failed relationships. Oz then goes full Papa Wolf for his son boy Oscar.
Chap 1 has the Hurt, the rest has the Comfort
I don't actually hate Ironwood as a character, despite all, this. it's just his face and stuff reminds me of stuff so I wanted to get this out of my system.
This is not the story you are looking for if you're looking for anything good for Ironwood.*Update* This was fic was started pre-season 8, and is now being continued Post Season 8, please see chap 7 for any explanations of "What happened in Atlas/Where is x character" but the tl;dr is: Qrow and Winter switched end season fights (So Winter vs Harriet and Qrow vs Cinder) and Jacques and Ironwood switched narratively, Jacques being "Mentally unwell leader of Atlas making bad decisions" and Ironwood gets time out'ed (dies) much worse than Jacques did

Summary
They say everyone has ten people in the world at any given time who look just like them. Doppelgängers. There’s no wonder that among the many universes that the number of those doppelgängers is even higher. Danny’s doppelgänger in this reality happens to be a crime fighting alien (as opposed to a crime fighting ghost). Which is, y’know, cool and all. If Danny could just figure out why this mysterious ‘Superman’ went missing right as he’s arrived.
All things considered, Clockwork did put him in a universe that best suited him.
If Danny has to catch one more specter-forsaken plane….OR:
Danny Fenton (26) and Clark Kent (37) are visually identical. Even though they exist entire universes away from one another.Danny has made the difficult decision to permanently move to Earth-16 after some personal tragedy. Unbeknownst to him it’s just after Superman has left to face trial for the missing 16 hours.
