Summary
After the fall of Hawkins, Robin Buckley and Nancy Wheeler fall into a dangerous routine: late-night patrols, shared beds, lingering touches, and the kind of tension that stops being platonic long before either of them admits it.
It would be easier if there weren’t kisses. Easier if there weren’t lies. Easier if Robin didn’t have Vickie waiting for her while Nancy keeps ending up in her bed, under her hands, and far too deep under her skin.
But there’s Vickie. There’s guilt. There’s jealousy sharp enough to draw blood. And there’s the fact that Robin and Nancy seem utterly incapable of staying away from each other once the line between friendship and something far more physical starts to blur.
or
Robin and Nancy want each other, act on it badly, and make it everyone’s problem.

Summary
“You’re going to mess up your lipstick. Worked hard on that.” Nancy’s hand is gripping Robin’s chin. Her finger almost in Robin’s mouth. Pressing. Robin can’t get any relief.
“Sorry. Bad habit,” Robin forces out. Her voice sounds rough, breathy, nothing like herself.
Nancy smiles, kind. Even this close to Robin, Nancy looks at her like there’s nothing wrong with her, with the way she is. All of Robin’s incompetence and how uncontrollable she feels sometimes, Nancy sees all of it. And Nancy, perfect fucking Nancy Wheeler, doesn’t shy away. She wants more, more of Robin.
Or: Robin thinks she’s losing her mind. Nancy thinks Robin likes a boy.

Summary
“Shit,” Nancy muttered.
“What?” Robin stared. Nancy Wheeler, of all people, had just swore. That couldn’t be good. “What, ‘shit’?”
“The door. It won’t—” She jostled the handle some more, leaning her shoulder against the door and putting more of her body weight behind it. It remained firmly shut, and she hissed out a breath, frustrated. “It’s stuck.”
On prom night, a string of unfortunate events leads to Robin getting trapped in the janitor's closet... with Nancy Wheeler.

Summary
“Are you flirting with me, Nancy Wheeler?”
Nancy turned the color of the berries she and Robin had spent the whole morning picking.
“N-No,” she gasped. “No, I was just—I wasn’t—”
“It’s okay, Nance,” said Robin, flashing a toothy grin that bloomed into a soft laugh. “It’s not like I mind.”
Nancy looked at her incredulously. “You…You don’t?”
Robin shook her head. “I’m flattered. Everyone knows you’re the most beautiful woman in Hawkins. It’s kind of nice to pretend that you might want somebody like me as frightfully as we all want you.”
OR: the one in which Nancy Wheeler is the God-fearing daughter of a close-knit community’s corrupt pastor, and the things she longs for Robin Buckley to do to her would make even the Devil blush.
