Summary
Demon Slayers have been reborn in the modern world with new demons rivaling that of those ranked as Lower Moons. With this new wave of demon threats, there presents a new guard of Slayers stand up and fight them. That being the old guard. Zenitsu Kuwajima is reborn, finding a family that loves him while he can only hate himself. Problems of his past life and current one keep him from being happy.
Having to battle literal demons and the ones in his own head. Consistently questioning his own worth as a person and Demon Slayer. Even refusing to reconnect with his old friends due to an event in their past life together. Because to Zenitsu, weather it be humans or Demons, there has been very little difference to him.
Both are capable of immense cruelty.

Summary
Ness and his friends had failed.
They failed the stop Giygas and the embodiment of Evil was left to spread darkness across the world. Creatures and humans that didn't have strong hearts were turned into wicked and malicious beings and the land had been enshrouded in eternal night. With Giygas having a hold on the world, no sun rose, no winds blew, and those who existed there either succumbed to the darkness of the world or lived to coexist with it.
That was three years ago. Ness has been wandering Eagleland looking for his lost friends ever since their failure. When he meets a boy named Lucas who's looking for his brother, he reluctantly decides to team up with him. After all, their loved ones are still out there, lost in this dark, cruel world. If he has any chance of finding his friends, or taking out Giygas and bringing back the sun, he's going to need to learn to trust people again.
Whether he wants to or not.
