“Ryusei Shidou!” Her voice boomed through the crowd, amplified by the microphone.
Sae’s world stopped spinning, eyes looking up at the screen to see his best friend completely stunned with surprise. People around him stared intensely. It hurt Sae worse that people only saw Shidou getting reaped as convenient , because if not him, them. Or even worse they remembered Shidou’s fist meeting their face and they were glad it was him. Glad the sun his life orbits around, bringing light and warmth to his dull life, is gone. Gone and never coming back.
Or: Ryusae hunger games au, Sae and Shidou like each other and they both think it’s one sided but Shidou gets reaped. Be warned though it won’t really have any romance really and the updates will probably be very slow and unpredictable. Possibly having several months between chapters.
