    “Come with me,” Alicent breathes out, her eyes shining in the flames of Dragonstone.

    Rhaenyra feels her heart quicken in her chest, and the decades melt away before her eyes as the woman in front of her is replaced with the image of a girl she once loved.

    “Alicent…” she says, the name on her lips barely a whisper. She finds herself reaching out for the other’s hand, grasping it in her own, feeling that cold, soft skin against her own warm palm. Alicent is close, but not close enough. Rhaenyra's eyes fall on her lips, pink and trembling. She catches Alicent’s eyes traveling downward as well.
