Mizi sighed, feeling the knot in her chest loosen, one hand reaching up to hold onto her shirt lightly, pulling at it gently to help relieve that tight and uncomfortable feeling that had made such a hole in her body. The black fabric gave, letting the cool air hit her skin, the light sheen on sweat on her cooling instantly, the feeling of pure relief consuming her. The breeze pushed her hair to and fro, getting it out of her face, no longer feeling like a weight in the wind, making Mizi smile ever so slightly.
It felt nice.
It’d been a while since anything had felt just nice.

Aether groaned, blinking slowly, opening his eyes to see a guy with ginger hair grinning down at him. Aether’s eyes widened, jerking up and awake, bashing his forehead against the stranger’s nose.
“WHAT THE FUCK.” Aether grabbed his head, frowning as he stared incredulously at the tall ginger man, who was holding his nose to prevent it from bleeding as he reeled back.
“That was uncalled for, comrade.” He stated, unimpressed.

A universe where Genshin Impact is a discontinued game, and Aether buys a copy from a yard sale out of pure boredom. He wakes to a nasty surprise and a lack of personal space the next morning.

Aether froze. Had he misheard? Was he delusional and hallucinating? Perhaps this was a ruse to get him to be calm, so the god could cruelly deny him what was promised, snapping up his life as soon as he had hope. Was he to be tricked and used as a toy and then die painfully once his entertainment had faded?
