Armin sits up. A cold moon sends a slice of light through Eren's loft window. It's still early spring, and it's cold. He's got on extra socks, a thick nightshirt and a grey wool knitted cap on his head. In a while, the sun will rise and the sounds of daily life will ground him, offer him their rhythm and distract him from the murmurs beneath his skin, the shivers of ancient dreams reawakening; the voices in the bone.
"Something is not right," he says softly. And he means that nothing is right; not the subtle changes in his palate, the way colours now appear to him, the way books whisper to him. Even his skin smells different.

Summary
Voices In The Bone (VIB) is a collection of stories that take place in an Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) canon divergent AU. Written pretty early in the anime, so it's canon world but the story veers off into it's own thing.
Eren and Armin are 20. Together with Erwin, Levi and the Survey Corps, they bravely face a dark new threat to humanity's survival.

Armin was hallucinating again. It had been three years, and he thought he had gotten over this, but with the terror and trauma of the 59th Expedition only dubbed "the incident," everything came rushing back. The Corporal is his only hope - a whirlwind of anxiety, release and sex - but things have become complicated and using his body seems to be the only way out. If that was what he had to do to forget, to keep his ever-running mind from running itself into the ground, then he'd do it. He had to be useful, yearned for it, because a titan wouldn’t spare its next meal just because it was smart.
