Look, being thrown through time and space isn't fun in the first place. But being attacked while already in such a situation? That’s just bad manners. Darkrai would know, of course, suddenly being on the receiving end of just that.
But at least he landed in the past, meaning he has the perfect chance to finally take his revenge on those pesky ‘heroes’ that got him there in the first place. And he has the perfect plan, this time: Disguise himself as a perfectly harmless Pokémon, get close to them, and once they fully trust him… stab them in the back and watch them suffer!
Now, if only he could stop himself from starting to like the once-human… that would be great. And where, exactly, has the original partner Pokémon gone?
(Can technically be read without knowledge of the Mystery Dungeon Series)(was intended to be crack. is now just a story with the occasional humour but also angst and too many words. and a surprising amount of character development for Darkrai. basically the Redemption Arc he never got.)

(Title from Machine Girl by WeevilDoing. Previous title was Uncanny, but the ghost and pals association feels weird now. Probably won't get more chapters atp [abandoned like a wet cat in a cardboard box] so I just yoinked the chapter 1 title for the new fic title)

Summary
Ángel has moved in the House of Vera, with an endearing, if strange, roommate.
Alarms should be ringing in his ears. Instead, it feels like the gentle hum of an almost-empty home, and the rambles of a man he has come to like. Love, even. Ironically, the strangeness makes him all the more endearing.
Though, now that it's warmer, despite how much Ángel would love to not do this, he cannot put it off any longer. He has to take care of the garden.
Well, at least he has a shed at the ready, right? Let's ignore the history behind it! It's a new location unlocked, and when hasn't he been curious?
Maybe he'll even explore the surrounding forest. What could go wrong?
OR: A few months following Ending 10, Ángel goes to the gardening shed, hoping to get some tools to take care of a neglected garden, and to give his overwhelmed roommate some alone time. Near that shed, there is a tree. Erased memories are still engraved in it.
