In the Meireki Era, the Shinomiya and Hoshina families come to a decision: a marriage to unite the country's two strongest kaiju extermination forces. The risks for both families are low: a second son and an adopted charge. While assets themselves in terms of combat ability, they were not the heir and not a blood relation. A win-win situation.
Except for the people getting married against their will, of course.
Still, both Sōshirō and Gen will have to swallow their protests as this outcome has already been foretold by the stars. And maybe fall in love along the way.

Blood.
That’s the first thing that hits Rei when he steps through the door. The intense smell of blood- horribly familiar, and yet out of place. He’s never killed a soul in his apartment. The coppery scent of fresh blood shouldn’t be filling the air.
And yet, it’s not the blood that draws his attention the most.
Feathered wings unfurl in front of him. A pure untainted white, if not for the one wing clawed an ugly red.
And one Akai Shuuichi looks up at him with a tired smile.
The supernatural has never been Rei's area of expertise. He can't say he's fond of Akai dragging him into it.

Looking down at Rody, Vincent is unsure if the dizziness in his head is messing with him, but he sees something in the boy's eyes he's never seen before: a certain fascination, a hunger, a desire.

Vincent stiffens as Rody’s fingers brush across his temple and gently tuck a strand of hair behind his ear, leaving a prickling trail of excitement along his skin.
“Mon cœur… qui bat…” Rody finishes softly, his hand gently caressing Vincent’s cheek. Vincent isn't used to such physical contact, but he finds himself melting into the touch. His eyelids flutter closed, savoring the slight roughness of Rody’s thumb as it brushes against his lower lip.
He wants more.
As if he could read his mind, Rody faintly whispers, “...kiss me...”

For a while, things were quiet, not a sound coming from the phone. He didn't have anything to say, and didn’t expect his partner to have anything either. Most of the time, they called not to talk, but simply to be together. As if distance didn’t matter, so they could just… Exist in each other’s presence, without having to be present.
But to his surprise, Shouyou spoke soon after.
“Hey,” he whispered. “Have you ever fingered yourself?”
Tobio froze, the line going completely silent.
He blinked once, then twice.
His cheeks heated up in an instant.
Barely any words exchanged, first phone call they’ve had after a couple months of only text conversations without hearing each other’s voices. They weren’t even dating anymore. And yet Shouyou decided to go ahead and ask that.
