The man sighed, a sound laced with disappointment. “You’re at a crossroads, Seo-yoon,” he said, his voice softer now but no less unsettling. “If you continue, there will be no turning back. You’ll face the full weight of this world’s consequences. And I can no longer shield you.”
Her heart pounded, but her resolve only hardened. “I don’t need your shield,” she said firmly. “Seong Seo-yoon, birthdate 28/04/1990.”
A long silence followed, heavy and suffocating. When the man finally spoke again, his voice carried a faint note of regret, though it felt distant, almost calculated. “Understood. Know that this was never my choice for you.”

Summary

Summary
You hate your father for many reasons. Before he was arrested for money laundering you stole a large sum of money from him to put your younger half brother through college. After your father's release from prison he blackmailed you making you work for him.
To rebuild his empire he hired a group of mercenaries to take out his competition. That's when you met the masked man Bane and his right hand man Barsad. You tried avoiding your father's business associates but luck was not on your side.
When it came time for your father to pay the men he didn't have the agreed upon amount. He noticed Bane's infatuation with you and offered you up as payment.
As Bane takes you away you have a whole new reason to hate your father. It's a long bumpy road full of misunderstandings but you eventually come to find out looks can be deceiving. Bane isn't the cruel monster you once thought him to be, and actually fall for the man behind the mask.

You took another step and for the first time the action did not result in a corresponding snarl from the wounded animal in front of you.
"Now, in return for my assistance all I ask is that you not tear my throat out. I think that's a pretty reasonable request, don't you?"
You were now close enough to get a good look at the trap and you quickly realized that you weren't going to be open it with your bare hands. You scanned the surrounding area and noticed a discarded metal fence post half buried under a pile of leaves a few feet away. You moved towards it, causing the wolf to growl softly.
"Easy, big fella. I'm just going to try and use this piece of metal to open that contraption you're caught in."
The wolf looked you up and down, as if assessing your physical condition and then he actually seemed to scoff at the notion of you accomplishing the task in question. Something about this action made you irrationally cross.
"Yah! There's no need to be rude."
