Beside him, Hizashi steps forward, offering a gentle, pitying pat to your head. "Your brother's just stressed, kiddo. It'll be okay."
You wanted to believe him. But as the heavy interrogation door clicked shut, leaving you in silence, the brutal truth set in: your only brother had finally abandoned you.
