“Right...” Todoroki Shouto cleared his throat in hopes that the action would help him feel less awkward. It didn’t succeed whatsoever. “My publicist has suggested...I date someone to seem more approachable. Apparently I come across as cold and distant, and that contributes negatively to my image. So I was thinking, if it had to be done with someone...it could be you?” He was doing his best to appear nonchalant to mask the hope in his voice.
Yaoyorozu Momo stared back at the boy with heterochromia eyes, her own obsidian ones blinking. A few seconds passed. She looked away, rubbing her neck, then stared at him determinedly.
“I’m open to it as long as we set some ground rules.” She stated confidently. “I would also like something in exchange, however.”
“What is it?”
“There is an upcoming ball my agency is throwing to celebrate our success over the past year. Be my date to it, and I’ll...date you for appearances.” Momo’s fingers drummed on the table rhythmically. “I’ll have to teach you to dance, though.”
He swallowed nervously, surprised at the turn of events. What had he gotten himself into?

Summary
Katsuki has answered the call to save the world from an asteroid collision, but the job comes with a partner – which he has avoided expertly for almost ten years. It’s not Uraraka’s fault that she’s the lead hero for this mission and Katsuki is the support, but he hates it anyway. He’s going to make Ochaco’s life harder before they work out a groove together, but he finds that working with an old friend brings back some of those awful insecurities he managed to ignore for those ten years. They come together as independent heroes, with the fate of the planet looming over their heads. And just when they’re about to launch this mission that may prove dangerous, or worse – fatal – Katsuki realizes he might not want to stay alone anymore.
