Plagg peeked out from the end of his shirt and eyed the alley dubiously, “I don’t think that’s such a good idea.”
“It’ll be fine, Plagg. Plus, the faster we get there, the faster we get you one of the Dupain-Chang’s famous brie tartlets.” Plagg tried not to drool too obviously but still seemed apprehensive. “We’ll be fine, Plagg. Together, nothing can hurt us.” Still hesitant, but reassured, Plagg retreated into Adrien’s pocket.

Being a stepdad is hard. Being just “mom’s boyfriend” is even harder. Being the grown-up and holding your temper in the face of teen attitude and rage? A Sisyphean struggle, for sure.
Some days Percy was happy to see Paul with Sally and other days Percy was downright stormy towards him. Teenagers and mood swings were an occupational hazard in his line of work, but something about Percy felt different. Dangerous. Like the teen was waiting for something, and if Paul made one wrong move he’d happily toss him out on his ass, literally.

Paul and Percy try to adjust to being in each other's lives. Paul fumbles more than once, Percy can't decide whether to trust the man or not. It all comes to head when Sally flinches during an argument with Paul.

Summary
While Walker went a bit overboard, those in his jail sometimes did break the law. After all of them finally get through the actual legal process (which only took a handful of human years) many go free or have reduced sentences.
Danny finds himself as part of the later group. No longer under threat of being thrown in jail, he finds himself tasked with community service - working at the Lunch Lady's interdimensional soup kitchen. This week's service is to someplace called Gotham, which is human-safe enough for his friends to tag along too.
Jason just wants to get some more clothes after his last run of missions did the equivalent of chewing up his street clothes and spitting them out. Why are there no quiet nights in Gotham?
