Summary
Kim Dokja thinks about how crazy he has become, for falling in love with his two best friends. It turns out the feelings are mutual, if only he’s not getting kidnapped and confined under the pretence of the toxic relationship, even involving his best friend halfway.
Han Sooyoung wonders how the hell everything can turn out like this when she’s just trying to find her best friend. One night, she’s safely tucked in her beloved’s embrace, only to have her house robbed and ended up waking up being confined in her lover’s house.

“Oh.” Yoo Sangah looks shifty — well. Yoo Sangah looks entirely normal and in fact reliable, but Sooyoung’s learned to recognise her mood from how she increases the pace of her fingers tapping against the table. “He won’t be able to join us for any of the trip, then.”
Sooyoung frowns. “It’s just a day trip, right? Five hours with you can’t be too bad.”
Yoo Sangah flinches back almost imperceptibly before she sighs. “It’s three days and two nights.”
When Sooyoung finds Kim Dokja, she’s killing him.

Summary
The Kim family's debt to the Yoo family was insurmountable. The only way they could pay off the debt was to offer their only son as collateral, to act as a shield to the current Yoo family head to ward off suitors. With the understanding that the sole child could not have his dearest wish of a warm and happy future, he could only strive to have others take that place instead.
But in the end, happy endings do exist.
