Summary
Every Sunday the church doors would open and the nave would fill with multitudes of people all brought together by their joined faith.
Which meant that once a week, Jack, Maurice and Roger would waste their mornings away in the chapel’s basement, all under the guides of Sunday school. And while the lower level may be large, it was by no means anything fancy. The tiles were old and cracked with white paint peeling off the corners, and the tone of yellow used for the walls gave off the opposite effect of happiness. A large table was located off to one side, bibles laying flat against it with dust covering the hardpage covers. On the other side of the room were two rundown couches and an old tv placed upon a small desk. A controller, as well as a stack of movie discs piled against it.
There hadn’t been any new additions to their little basement group in years. Or, at least not any that stayed. This left the three boys fending for themselves against the trials of boredom.
Until Simon showed up.

He’s walking near the river, behind the industrial looking warehouse that houses the art studios. “You’re not going to jump are you?” Someone shouts at him. The guy is sitting on the back steps, ridiculous legs practically folded in half with how long they are, knees up to his chest. He’s got wild black curls and giant black glasses, the plastic frames glinting under the overhang lights, and he points at Eddie with his cigarette. “It’s not worth it, there’s— I’m sure you have things in the future that you’re looking forward to, right?”
Eddie blinks, wrapping his arms around himself, like the wool of his coat will protect him from whatever the hell is happening, “I’m not going to jump. Why would I jump?” He has to yell just to reach him.
